I have been entertaining the idea of creating my own blog for a long time but never got around to it since there is already so much out there. I have spent several years lurking around in blogs.

I finally decided to go for it and if nothing else this blog will serve as a journal for me to see my thoughts evolve as I continue my conquest to be a 'better' developer.
The reason I chose 'elegant' is that during my masters program, it became my favorite word. I had a professor for my Creative Leadership course that taught us to think 'outside of the box' to find the most elegant solution (the simplest solution that met the requirements).
I have been inspired recently from looking at various software products and I love applications that are beautiful, intuitive, and elegant.
